  • I saw Grand Funk for the first time, in Houston, with their first major tour at a theater in the round on Halloween night. A local band opened up and then ZZ Top when they had just changed their name from "The Moving Sidewalks". Ticket price was $3.00. We loved it so much, we went and bought tickets for the 2nd show as well. Awesome night! I saw them many times after that.

  • Grand Funk Railroad was the first album I ever purchased. Don't remember exactly when but I remember buying it at Sam the Record Man (Toronto) and I think I paid $3.98.

My first album was a Grand Funk Railroad footstompin good time, I want to re-live that childhood innocence again! We wanted to Make Love not War........I remember. Tampa, Florida would remember too! I worshipped with Mark and had the "Judgement Day Blues" but I'm free now, I've accepted EVERYONE as brothers and sisters, I just want us all to feel a little "Closer to Home"....come to Tampa, I'll be dancing!!!!!
  • Awesome, Inside Looking out. I remember this song in the 70's years, aaaaaaah. To the fans of GFR, long live to Funk from Chile my country and Coquimbo my city i salute you...
  • Grand Funk Railroad is easily my favorite band (not that anyone would guess that from all of the other bands I listen to). I think it's so awesome that they're still out there because this band brings back sooo many memories for me. I remember being like 7 years old and rocking out with my dad to some GFR! Now, I know the band better than he does. I even stole his cassette and played it until it completely uncoiled.
