  I study jazz at the University of Toledo, and im supposed to listen to people like Wes Montgomery and Pat Matheney, but Grant just has so much soul i really don't much like listening to other jazz guitarist and so few of my peers know of him. Its rather disheartinging.

  No one can milk a three note rythmic variation for as long as Grant Green. This is not related but does anyone know why he turned the midrange way up and does it have to do with the sizzly double stop sounds he made?

  "Carryin' On" is a sublime album showing the full range of Mr Green's genius, from the southern funk blues of Ease Back to the almost 9 minutes of meditative closer Cease the Bombing. A wonderful band on this record too including Idris Mohammed on drums. If you love Mr Green then track down this album. Peace

  i was given a copy of Live at the Lighthouse by my friend and its one of my favorite jazz albums. i agree with justin , he is groovy lol. he helps me to just chill out sometimes.
