  green day didn't the steal john lennon song, they were asked to do the song by amnesty international to rasie money and awareness for the people of darfur, sudan

  The album is Instant Karma. Its a tribute to the music of John Lennon to raise support and awareness for the genocide in the Sudan and to save Darfur. U2's rendition of Instant Karma is awesome and the video to Working Class Hero by Greenday is very moving.....
