Greg Pope is an American born artist who has songs in his head and occasionally is able to escape to his home based popmonster laboratory and create power pop stylings and southern tinged rock and roll. His goal with his music is to liberate those people who suffer rom the low grade chronic depression that many refer to as "real life" and most of his attempts are under three minutes. His album, POPMONSTER, was the #1 album of the year on the Absolute Powerpop blog Top 100 releases of 2008. In June of 2009 he released a follow up: a 7 song EP entitled PETE, which is named after a friend he occasionally eats sushi with in Nashville. He is currently spinning plates and when he can get them to spin all by themselves he's going to finally get back to finishing his next album (which he plans on releasing as soon as possible). In the meantime he's just released a Christmas single, "Christmas Snow". If you've read this far and would like to contact him or just say hello, please go right ahead: octoberville@gmail.com
Greg...awesome album! I had it jamming in the house the other night, with the kids and my wife dancing away. I still have my Outer Limits tape that Frank copied for me around here somewhere!

Bought Popmonster on ITunes. It's great. It is a very diverse collection of music that sticks in your head.
