Feb 03 2008, 12:12 PMAn extraordinary and brilliant composer whose pieces of textural sound fields have achieved near-legendary status, both in concert and in film. I have fond memories of a day of seminars and concerts of his works that he directed one day in Boston.

Sep 20 2007, 06:00 AMI saw Ligeti's Symphonic Poem for 100 Metronomes performed on the South Bank in London back in about 1989. It was an extraordinary experience.
