Gymshoes is an upbeat person who makes (mostly) uptempo electronic pop suitable for dancing in the streets, spinning in the living room, and backyard boogie. She will not be held responsible for any tickets you might get for dancing in your car. She lives in the Houston area with her husband and a very-mixed-breed rescue dog. Before she got sucked into all this electronic music, she was a rock-n-roll girl, writing songs and playing guitar. After twisting all the knobs on her amp, and flipping every switch, she still can’t find the “on” switch for “rock star”. Fortunately, she can always find the “on” switch for her computer, which is a nice little studio for creating diggable digital Gymshoes music. When not making Gymshoes music she’s writing songs for her band, Undead Monkey.
Gymshoes music was featured in the movie What It Takes, a documentary about triathletes competing in the Ironman triathlon. After hurricanes Katrina and Rita she released an EP of songs, A Tropical Depression, the profits of which go to benefit the American Red Cross. Gymshoes albums are available from iTunes (US, UK, EU, Australia/NZ, Canada, Japan), Napster, Amazon mp3 and Rhapsody (iLike). You can buy the music, beFriend Gymshoes on myspace, become a Fan of Gymshoes on Facebook, or visit the official Gymshoes website from the links below.

My new dog is musical. Tho he's still wary of guitar, from his ears twitch he seems to know when a string is outta tune or I hit a bad note.

Though it was released a couple of years ago, this year is the first year my Halloween Soundscape album will be available on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon mp3 and Napster. Want to hear it before you decide to buy? It's streaming during the month of October on my myspace profile and all the time on my Facebook page (Music tab and also Boxes tab), as well as on my Gymshoesmusic website. Please pass the word, share on your social networking sites, and write reviews on your favorite music store and/or my Facebook page (Boxes tab). Though this album is good background for reading scary books, it's "season" is really Halloween, which is a real short season. :-) Please help me get the word out. Thanks!!!
