Hangman was born on November 3, 1995 when Paul Viani and the two Matarrese brothers, Joe and Phill, met at a party. That day, they secluded themselves from the rest of the people attending the party and got to know each other. Eventually, they all agreed that a band would be a great career choice. Since then, they have gone through many names and many different additional musicians, but it has always been these three people forming the core of the band.

The current lineup is: Paul Viani (guitar), Joseph Matarrese (bass), Phillip Matarrese (drums), Micah Sapp (guitar) and Davin Sudja (vocals). Together, they intend to make the best music that they can and have as much fun as they can while doing it. Hangman has always been about fun, so if you are looking for some great music and a good time, Hangman is the band for you.
