"Apopse thelo na pio" translated "I wish to drink today". In Greek music, that can only be described as having stemmed from the bouzouki, the lyrical mold for women was very slim. For men most of the content was about their depression and pretty much the blues in which they would talk about their revelry. Alexiou was the first to break the mold and write lyrics talking about female drunken revelry. Good choice in song.
