Douglas Harper Pike was born in Albany, NY in 1982. He had four years of classical piano training starting at the age of eight. While reluctant to practice he discovered his passion for creating music.
Harper has been writing songs for ten years and has recently decided to refine his creative process and professionally record an album on his own for public release. He is currently finishing the recording of his debut album titled “The Nocturne”.
In college he was lead singer in a acoustic/indie band called "The Midnight Sessions", in which he performed free-improvisational singing.
