Hey music people, how are ya? I am a singer-songwriter/composer born in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was raised on Chopin and Debussy, hillbilly blues and soul. These sounds are in my blood and the influences sure do sneak into my music. I want my songs in film/TV, so there are multiple genres here--hope you enjoy the mixed bag. JAN 2008: New blues CD, Red Bird Tattoo, is finally released! $2 from every sale direct from hattiewilcox.com goes to charity. FALL 2007: Studio City Music Library picks up jazz sax instrumentals of With You and My Birthday. JULY 2007: Great news this week! Stimulus Films has selected The Leaving (fiddle instrumental version) for the film and soundtrack of "Grilling Bobby Hicks" which is in post production. You can see trailer at myspace.com/ stimulusfilms and check out the other music lined up for the film and soundtrack. OCT 07 UPDATE: More songs signed to music libraries from US, Canada and Australia. DEC 07 UPDATE: Well, Roadtrip Nation 2007 decided to use one of the 7 songs they had in preproduction--"New Orleans Down"! I wrote this solo piano piece for all the folks affected by Hurricane Katrina. Roadtrip Nation is a 12-part series in its 4th season on PBS, and its first season on MSN. My song is used in the segment featuring an interview with Morris Reid. (Blue me photo ©2006 Paul Savage/ savages4hire.com)
