I equally love Regine Crespin's and Rufus Wainwright's renderings of Les Nuits. Seriously.

Absolutely one of the greatest composers. And it took the French a long time to realise that. The first ever full performance of the Te Deum was in... Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral in 1967! I was in the boy's choir. Also Berlioz was a great writer of prose as well as music.
