Montag was born in the small town of Crested Butte in Colorado. Heidi Montag began dating Jordan Eubanks (b. September 23, 1984) in 2005 and their relationship was featured on season one of The Hills. Montag broke off her relationship with Eubanks in the spring of 2006, a move which she has described as "the best decision of [her] life" and "something that [she] should have done earlier".[15] Since the summer of 2006, Montag started dating and just recently became engaged to Spencer Pratt (b. August, 1983). Some fans of The Hills speculate that the engagement is fake and was done to promote publicity for The Hills. Both Montag and Pratt deny that their engagement is fake. Spencer is the son of Dr. Skip Pratt DDS, a dentist in downtown Santa Monica. [8] Pratt, former manager of Brody Jenner, met Montag through Jenner's then girlfriend, Laguna Beach's Kristin Cavallari.
