Formed in Melbourne, Australia in the summer of 1999, Heligoland have released two albums and a number of singles to date.
Heligoland relocated to Paris in early 2007 and now have something of an inter-contintental flavour to the lineup with the addition of France Cartigny (drums) and Stéphane Pigneul (guitar).
To date Heligoland have played numerous shows, radio sessions and have been building a following in Paris as well touring Spain, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. Further tours to Belgium, Germany, central Europe and elsewhere are planned for the near future.
Heligoland have just finished recording the band's third album in Paris and Rennes. The new was produced and mixed by Robin Guthrie.
