Hella Donna was foundet in 2003 in Plauen by the guitarist Sven Hessel and the charismatic vocalist Cindy Leissnert. In addition to Rene Voigt bass guitar and backing vocals, Tim Lehnert (drums) is completing the band. According to the famous label Monopol Records, Berlin, the symphatetic musicians are working on their pop music carrier. Their songs can be circumscribed as breezy guitar pop with rock and punk elements. The carrier: After the shortest time, the 4 musicians have found much interest and and were topics of conversation. Their english songs came into international charts. For example: My Heart - rank 2 in Spain (Besonic) and "Hot Nights" TOP 10 in Italy/ Switzerland/ USA and so on.. Some of the comercial songs like "My Heart" or "Lonely Girl" were ranking in the TOP 10 or TOP 3 in several webcharts for weeks. The single "Hometown-Radio", relased in 2005, was on air soon on different radio stations (for example: Vogtlandradio, R-SA, Live Radio Station, Powerplay, Happy-Station, Fraggle.FM, Bayern3, Radio Zwickau, Radio SAEK Chemnitz / Radio Zusa / Radio NRW) an could place itself on some of those station charts in the Charts TOP5. "Hometown-Radio" was released by the Berlin Label "Monopol-Records /DA Music" in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In April of 2007 the Debut album "Come on" and the double singel "Give me some time/ Starstalker" was released by the label Monopol/ DA MUSIC / BMG SONY, too. In addition to the first single, the bavarian movie company Dreamfilms produced a complex music vidioa, which was also used for a projected movie with the same name Starstalker. Until today, the actual single is on air on more than 100 radio stations. The music video is shown on more than 20 TV stations. So, Cindy and her guys were guests on several Radio- and TV-stations like FAB-Berlin, VRF, Antenne Thueringen, TV Zwickau, Landeswelle Thueringen, Vogtlandradio and lots more. In autumn of 2007, the second single "Come on" was lifted off the same album. Since 2004, Hella Donna Live is on stage all over Germany. Top acts were the support of "Bell, Book and Candle", "Rubettes", "Beatles Rev." Band, according to several great Open Airs like "Woodpop", "Summer Summit" and others . Cindy and her guys are on stage more than 70 times in a year, so you can really call them a Live Band! In addition to Clubs, they also enrich city festvals, Open Airs, Campuspartys or company events with their program. The absolutely top of their carrier until today was without a doubt their Headlner-Germany-Clubtour in Autumn of 2007. That November, Hella Donna could be joined in 16 Cities of Germany - Hamburg, Stuttgart, Koeln, Nuernberg and so on. After a short baby break, Hella Donna will release their second album "Different Faces" in July of 2009. The first lifted single is availabel already since 15.04.2009. Hella Donna will also be on tour all over Germany again in 2009. One of the highlights will surely be the act at the Mentos Splashdiving WM 2009 in Essen. Hella Donna is the official WM-Band of this fun sport.
