  For your reading pleasure

  We are all born with wings. Some learn to fly quicker than others but we ALL have wings. This I have come to believe as a fact and have met many an angel in my time. None more so than the millions of people who have found joy in the on going dance of life i share with that beautiful lady we call on in times of need, be it a touch of Barry White to set the mood or a dose of Limp Bizkit to let off some steam.

  She has always been there for us tending to our hearts and wounds, that lady called music. Music is the true language of the soul, the universal language (ask Mr Spielberg why he chose 5 tones in close encounters..).But without the constant dedication of the people, the true meaning of love or music would be wasted and fruitless. So to all of you out there, Thank you for listening and dont worry, there are still some of us out there who still believe music is an art and not a business. THIS MEANS THAT THIS PAGE IS NOT ABOUT ME.. ITS ABOUT YOU!!!!!

   And all for  those who keep asking ..YES THIS THE REAL HERBIE CRICHLOW... And if you know me you will know that thas not the point...this is about you..right here,right now. BY POPULAR DEMAND.

   A Few Days ago a dear friend of mine asked me to explain a little about the mysterious music industry and how it works in relation to advances ,money management and your basic run of the mill honesty...so here is what i said to him and i hope it makes sense enough to all of you !!!

  
  Advance means borrow my friend nothing more and nothing less. It give the major labels the opportunity to lasso ridiculous and in many instances unfounded and outlandish rules and binding legalese that few understand. It wraps the Artist up and into a cold world of ultimately 15 minutes of fame and a lifetime of debt. What the majors need to do is the same as the Movie studios. Stop robbing hard working dedicated writers and artists alike .

  When you really look into how all these cooporations have been making income over the years and one realizes just how underpaid and miss understood the writers and artist really are. Trapped in between entertainment lawyers ,agents, management ,over priced for practically every aspect of the making of their works for regional or international purposes and people who seem to have the misconception that they are above the law, It then becomes apparent that the ends truly justifies the means.

  You cant fool all the people all the time and people the world over are fed up with being fooled. Who really cares what robbie williams got in advance. He got it because of his huge sales and downloads and dvd sales and performance royalties exct from his last albums. Which means he is in a sense borrowing his own income.

  which had he have not done adeal like that,he would otherwise may never have seen his full worth and generated income for all his hard work. Make no mistake he is worth it. Its a tough world out there ..even tougher when your profession is as honest and as forthright as trying to get milk out a full grown belgian bull.

  Hats off to Annie Lennox and all major artists who have now got the freedom to handle their own careers and generate their own income at their own choiced decision with whom ever they choose to be affiliated with independent of over pricing and pric gouging . Hopefully this will regain the general publics faith in music once again and the entertainment industry can once again flourish as a place of freedom shared wealth and great creativity

  Natures wireless network Radio (Are you listening?)

  

  You know how you hear a really catchy tune and for the whole bloody day you just cant get that song out of your head?

  Well, have you ever wondered if that happens to animals? I mean we do it why cant they.This morning I got up around 6.30 as usual and went out into the frosty morning air to greet mother earth as i usually do.And as i was standing there amazed at the perfection of it all a beautiful little bird came into my view and perched itself on the highest branch on the top most point of a tree in front of my home.

    At first i didnt think much of it because it happens every morning..to be honest I get the feeling its my best friend who past away years ago who drops in on me to see how im doing..believe me if you have seen the magical events i have seen in my life you would understand. Anyway like i said ,I didnt think much of it ,I just stood there in my own world humming a song that was stuck in my head, as i was about to sing a vague and feeble shower induced rendition of the chorus, when the strangest thing happened..the bird whistled the notes to the chorus!! I know I know ..it sounds like er...ok herbs, how did grandpas cough medicine taste this morning ! or did you have one hell of a night the night before? Had it have not happened to me I would have thought the same thing until, My wonderful wife who had just stepped out to join me said " Did you hear that..sounded like that bird just sang the chorust to " All that she wants"! That is exactly what i was singing. Anyway,it kind of got me thinking if we do it why cant they,after all they got ears and these songs play all the time .

   So the next time your taking your dog for a walk and it sounds alarmingly like he or she just barked the chorus to 2 " Who let the dogs out"  it might be a good idea to sing along..My advice to all is to be selective about what you let your pets and visiting garden friends are listening to. Personally ,this summer im going to play alot of Bob marley and Mariah  Carey, Simply because i would like to hear their versions of Stir it up and practically and song from Mariah..Ah the wonders of the N.W.N.R (Natures wireless network Radio) ..Have a wonderful day people ,have a wonderful day.

  Hi everyone,
   Sorry Ive been away sooo long.Been very busy back in the studio getting ready for my "Iconic" return to the music I love so much..Anyway ,I found this incredible stor about a man I respect to the highest degree Dr Mark Dean. In many ways Dr Dean and I share the same type of shunted invisibility  based on our blessed gifts. Its well worth a read and well worth five stars in my book +++++.   " America 's High Tech "Invisible Man"

  You may not have heard of Dr. Mark Dean. And you aren't alone. But almost everything in your life has been affected by his work.

  See, Dr. Mark Dean is a Ph.D. from Stanford University . He is in the National Hall of Inventors. He has more than 30 patents pending. He is a vice president with IBM. Oh, yeah. And he is also the architect of the modern-day personal computer. Dr. Dean holds three of the original nine patents on the computer that all PCs are based upon. And, Dr. Mark Dean is an African American.

  So how is! it that we can celebrate the 20th anniversary of the IBM personal computer without reading or hearing a single word about him? Given all of the pressure mass media are under about negative portrayals of African Americans on television and in print, you would think it
  would be a slam dunk to highlight someone like Dr. Dean.

  Somehow, though, we have managed to miss the shot. History is cruel when it comes to telling the stories of African Americans. Dr. Dean isn't the first Black inventor to be overlooked Consider John Stanard, inventor of the refrigerator, George Sampson, creator of the clothes dryer,
  Alexander Miles and his elevator, Lewis Latimer and the electric lamp.
  All of these inventors share two things:

  One, they changed the landscape of our society; and, two, society relegated them to the footnotes of history. Hopefully, Dr. Mark Dean won't go away as quietly as they did. He certainly shouldn't. Dr. Dean helped start a Digital Revolution that created people like Microsoft's Bill Gates and Dell Computer's Michael Dell. Millions of jobs in information technology can be traced back directly to ! Dr. Dean.

  More important, stories like Dr. Mark Dean's should serve as inspiration for African-American children. Already victims of the "Digital Divide" and failing school systems, young, Black kids might embrace technology with more enthusiasm! if they knew someone like Dr. Dean already was leading the way.

  Although technically Dr.. Dean can't be credited with creating the computer -- that is left to Alan Turing, a pioneering 20th-century English mathematician, widely considered to be the father of modern computer science -- Dr. Dean rightly deserves to take a bow for the machine we use today. The computer really wasn't practical for home or small business use until he came along, leading a team that developed the interior architecture (ISA systems! bus) that enables multiple devices, such as modems and printers, to be connected to personal computers.

  In other words, because of Dr. Dean, the PC became a part of our daily lives . For most of us, changing the face of society would have been enough. But not for Dr. Dean.. Still in his early forties, he has! a lot of inventing left in him.

  He recently made history again by leading the design team responsible for creating the first 1-gigahertz processor chip.. It's just another huge step in making computers faster and smaller. As the world congratulates itself for the new Digital Age brought on by the personal computer, we need to guarantee that the African-American story is part of the hoopla surrounding the most stunning technological advance the world has ever seen.. We cannot afford to let Dr. Mark Dean become a footnote in history. He is well worth his own history book.

  Omniverse Almanac

  

  The Omniverse Amanac is an incredible book that will soon become a stable part of our readers digest very shortly ..and after reading just the first chapter I have to say that it is simply " INCREDIBLE".
  Incredibly funny ,magnificently cunning and at the same time it has the ability to make one contemplate the universe in a whole new and refreshingly palatable way.
   Without giving to much of it away . I would  recommend this book to anyone and everyone ..
  Insightful and delightfully designed to tickle the fancies and tingle the senses , this fantastic book will have you in stitches while all the while manages to pose an incredibly witty answer to the of the big question " What is the meaning of life" .

  The incredible likeness of you

  

  After YEARS of confusion,

   years of trying to look back into my past and figure out things that had ultimately made little or no sense to me as to the outcome of my present. I have finally figured out something so fantastic that it has given me a true "AH HA " moment and as i am so great-full for this acute yet oh so important revelation,.

   I will not bore you with the details of my precious "Ah Ha" moment ( I will save that for my book) But , I have some incredible advice for all of you incredibly talented and gifted members of this wonderful world of music.

  You see , Music is like an amazingly beautiful and unfathomably devoted woman ,Her love for your attention to her reaps treasures of untold beauty and riches both physically and spiritually, within those moments of bliss, within those bursts of of absolute creativity, we become like new born babies taking our first steps happy to fall without a care in the world , unsuspecting of anyone or anything  we over look the fact that the world around us sadly is not as trusting as we are, not so forgiving as she is and can in many instances so filled with envy and greed that they are just waiting to rip the very fabric of your existence right out from under you. 

  They call it .."just business " the total disregard for all moral fiber has been watered down to this the  corniest most  meaningless cliche  of them all " Just business ".
  It matters not that you would have stuck your fingers in the socket of a 200v plug if you thought it would make
  the vibe right. Neither would it mean as much to your faithful predators if you had an attack of uncontrollable diarrhea
  and had to finish your amazing compositions with a wine bottle cork to assist.
  No to them your hard work is nothing more than " Just Business " and if they just happen to take everything you have including your identity well hey ..you guessed it "Its just buisness"

  
  Ah but you see this is far as you know  the way of the world , survival of the slickest ,  but you would be wrong ...You see  music breeds a family atmosphere, be it rock ,pop or straight up thug life ,it gives birth to a an atmosphere that brings people together no matter what genre , age group , sect or denomination. This is also true about the creative process of making music. Be aware that there are many who do not do music for the admiration and love of her coolness . Some are not seeking to catch the glide in her stride or the dip in her hip. And believe it or not like nature she has a way of weeding them out and getting ride of them where they just do not belong. Like minded people will always find like minded people and before to long ..they end up bumping into each other and canceling each other out.

  Now even though this process will not happen over night and you will probably feel weak and beaten and to you its just not worth it anymore , know  this...YOU ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY FOOL WHO THINKS THAT  IT TAKES AN IDIOT TO WRITE A MASTER PIECE !!!
  Just like a mother who finds superhuman strength to lift a wrecked car to save her child. Its NEVER  "just business"..
  Its your input ,your hard work being added to His-Story . Let those who would envy you , envy you for the right reasons. Hold your head up and be proud to take your place in this great chapter of music and your existence.
  Good guys do finish last true but, they  always finish with class and with the right lady on their arm..feel me?

   Celebrate the coolness in you..Never give in to your ego ,there in lies your downfall and the jaws of greed are hungry my friend..very hungry. Find the glide in yo stride and your dip in your hip and share it with the ones you know and love ,cos in doing so you share it with lady music and that my friends ...makes you priceless.

  The GIFT of life is you...

  

  At one point in my life I had been so penniless , broke, utterly without and money. Would you believe it was the greatest experience of my life !! Not only did I find out who my real friends where ( and believe me it was an eye opener for me to realize just how few friends I really had ) It also helped me find my true self and my own personal "Magic". You see , when a person reaches rock bottom he or she has only two options, give up or start climbing.
  True its a long way down and its dark when you are destitute and beaten to a pulp. The world seems as though it has all but forgotten you and it feels as though even your faith has deserted you..TRUST me I know how it feels x100 to the power of infinity.

    Yet within those most depressing times I found an incredible light hidden deep within myself .A light so powerful that I was overwhelmed and confused as to how I it had gone un-noticed within me for so long. The feeling of shedding all the past pain and getting off my proverbial ass and doing something meaningful with my life became a huge chorus line of voices that have lead me all the way back from the brink of absolute destruction. I went from  within days of loosing my home and everything I had worked so hard for to, Just  listening to my heart and reaching my personal promise land.

  The  point is ..forget the past ,listen to your heart and follow your guiding light..even when you think its the end..its usually a whole new beginning.
  Now this may not make a whole lot of sense to alot of you out there.But to the small percentage of you who are feeling the bottom of the barrel I just wanted you to know you are not alone.Keep looking to the sky ..DONT GIVE UP and stay focused, You will succeed in everything you trully wish for ...just follow your heart and keep the sun on your face !! and whatever you do Dont look back !!!
