“My main goal is to be a pioneer and establish hip-hop here in the state of Florida. I am not an artist chasing money and material things, but more so, SUCCESS,” says HITEC. He has been into hip-hop since a child, and started writing around the age of 12. At 14, and a freshman in high school, TEC’ battled other mc's in the hallways and on the blocks for respect. After recording his first project in a small studio in 1996, many people encouraged him to pursue a career in music. This motivated ideas, and he started concentrating on developing as an artist. Since then, HITEC a.k.a. ROCWELL, has grown with an underground group from (Sarasota, FL) called the Boondox; collaborated with other aspiring artist; and blazed many local clubs, showcases and music conventions. He has done shows throughout the state of Florida and other states to show that he has what it takes to be one of the best. In 2000, he took a chance with an Independent label for a year, and received a lot of experience and acknowledgment. Yet, still remained unheard to the music world's ears. Through various resources, HITEC is now receiving global recognition for being the next potential artist and songwriter. Currently TEC’ is making independent advancements for future opportunities and now represented by Jerry Chaste for www.unsignedartistsdemos.com He is working on his debut album to be released next Spring Recently he joined forces with Brooklyn native, DIVINE MC, to form a duo called the RENAISSANCE. They are making national appearances to promote new material.
