  Saw Humble Pie ... well, far too many years ago, when they opened for Ten Years After in Winnipeg, Canada. To my mind, they were the most dynamic and, galvanising, live rock 'n' roll band I ever saw. (And I seen a bunch.) That little man was the strongest singer I heard, and through the Small Faces to Packet of Three, epitomized what the genre SHOULD have meant. Then the stupid bugger got stoned and burned himself to death. Oh well. I suppose that was rock but "Damn", I miss what he could hav... More... Peter Frampton was 17 when he was in a band called The Herd. Could not have been much older than 19 when Stevie found him and plugged him into Humble Pie. Stevie was a punk before it ever existed. And soul? Walk on Guilded Splinters. I think he just felt it all. Perhaps too much. Anyway, I'm still pissed at him for dying way too young. But I still have the albums. Vinyl. Cheerio all!

  DAMM GOOD ROCK!!!! I BET THAT NO MANY GUYS KNOW THAT PETER FRAMPTON IS DOING HER BEST HERE BEING ALMOST A TEENAGER. MOST GUYS KNOWING FRAMPTON AFTER HUMBLE PIE, "SHOW ME THE WAY" AND ALL THAT SHIT, YOU KNOW!!

  Steve Marriot remains one of the most under rated singer/ writers in all of Rock'n'Roll from the "Punk" assault that is Whatcha Gonna Do About It from the Small Faces era to the infectious riffs and soulful vocals on 30 Days In The Hole (to name one) from one of the rockinist Rock'n'Roll bands ever Humble Pie. Steve Marriot sadly remains largely ignored I mean 2,133 fans on this site........ cmon' spread the word tell of the gut bucket vocals and riffs that make the hair on your neck stand up... More...
