  We hardly ever get any bluegrass out this way. From time to time Ricky Skaggs and KY Thunder play in a phoenix-area church, but that's about it!

  The date is June 9th, 2006. It is night and IIIrd Tyme Out is on stage at the Festival of the Bluegrass in Lexington, KY. Holly (from Lexington) and I (from Canada) sat under the big pavillion in front of the stage to catch your show. Now for a little prelude to where I'm getting to: Holly and I met over the internet 11 years ago in a music related chatroom as friends. I was in college at the time and when I returned home, I had no internet so Holly and I lost complete contact for about... More... The date is June 9th, 2006. It is night and IIIrd Tyme Out is on stage at the Festival of the Bluegrass in Lexington, KY. Holly (from Lexington) and I (from Canada) sat under the big pavillion in front of the stage to catch your show. Now for a little prelude to where I'm getting to: Holly and I met over the internet 11 years ago in a music related chatroom as friends. I was in college at the time and when I returned home, I had no internet so Holly and I lost complete contact for about 6 years. I had gone thru a previous relationship and marriage and seperated (not internet related) when I was back home with my own computer connected wireless to the internet. One August evening in 2005, I happened to be in the same chatroom I use to visit and Holly came in but under a different name. We started to talk again and over time, we become great online friends. In November 2005, we started planning a trip for her and I to meet so I went to Lexington from June 7th till the 15th arriving there as a friend. Back to that Friday night at the Horse Park, an unbelievable moment happened. The moon was out and bright that friday night. I sat there and looked at her and the moon numerous times when finally I told her that the moon we were lookiing at was not just any moon. It was the Blue Moon of Kentucky! Not 10 seconds later, the fiddle kicked off the song "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and that's where Holly's jaw dropped. She could not talk to me for the rest of the night cause she was just so overwhelmed. The next day we became boyfriend and girlfriend. We got married in Kentucky on Sept 30th in Lexington. All of this to say a special thank you to IIIrd Tyme Out for being there when you never even knew it. It is such an honor for Holly and I to share this true story with the members of IIIrd Tyme Out and their fans. May you find continued success in your music and God Bless you all!
