  I know Ike will probably never read this... ...I was in 8th grade when I randomly saw you at a Blues Traveler concert...you were opening (should have been the other way around). I must say...to my knowledge...you are the greatest living American songwriter, and possibly the greatest living American storyteller. Ever since my first encounter I've been hooked to the folk-rock style and lyrical madness. The greatest aspect of your musical creations is that they're going to last many a lifeti... More...   Just saw Ike play at Joe's Pub in Noho, NYC. Was a solo show. Took some requests shouted out by the audience. Love how into the songs he is. Played two I hadn't heard before "Terror and the Drugs" and "Girl on a Train". Was preceded by Johnny Cash Folsom County album and ended with an encore, last song, "put a little love in it" missed the second verse, asked the crowd to help out and then walked off stage when they couldn't recite the verse!
