IMMINENT CHAOS was formed in the beginning of ‘02, after persistent search of André (guitar/vocal) and Rodrigo (bass/backing vocal) for a drummer. On the other side, Batata (drums) was looking for partners to form a band. The meeting of the musicians brought to surface their main influences: Metal and Hardcore. The songs have the weight and concision of metal and are straight and crude – hardcore in essence. The lyrics bring the fire of indignation and anguish of facing the brutal oppression of capital and the terror of the dehumanizing process, relightining the yearning and the perspective of human liberation. In ‘03 was released “reflexos do neoliberalismo”, first material, with production of Marcello Pompeu and Heros Trench (Korzus) and special appearance of Gepeto (Ação Direta) The band keep making shows with bands like Ratos de Porão, Nitrominds, Questions, Devotos, Are You God?, Torture Squad, Social Chaos, Migra Violenta and others. In ‘03 made a tour with Ação Direta, and in ‘04 other with Grinding Reaction. Appeared in the compilations “Não Nasci Pra ser Herói Por Isso Não Preciso de Méritos” by AGAH Recds. (BR), “Waste of Humanity” by Means4War Recds. (NY), “Project:Unity” by Humanfliez Prodaxions (Greece), and the virtual compilations of the sites Microfonia.com and MetalStorm.ee, and are included in the soundtrack of the film “The Polish Remover” from Pillar Films (NYC). The band is preparing now the new material Corrosion of Human Essence, to be recorded in april ‘05. True and Straight Hardcore Way of Life.
