"A LOOK INSIDE THE MEAT LOCKER" Jacks Meats is the finest cattle slaughter hard rock band this side of the San Andreis Fault. The band combines raw energy, originality, dynamics, seering guitar riffs and strong vocals with excellent material and a high energy and colorful show that has to be seen to be believed. Past shows include the butchering of a life-sized paper mache' cow, and although the Meats never use live animals on stage, with exception of their pet Boa, "Alice', several shows have nearly been cancelled by the Humane Society, after they received reports that the band was going to butcher live cattle on stage. By strange coincidence, all of the members of the band have had association with livestock or their bi-products. -------John H------- lead guitarist, songwriter and founder of the Meats, has been playing guitar, writing songs and forming bands for over fifteen years. Ironically John comes from a long line of family butchers, not musicians. His grandfather worked at the Chicago Stock Yards, where a friend and co-worker named Jack, fell into a meat grinder and was actually sold as hot dogs. The band is, in a sense, a tribute to the memory of Jack. -------Wayne Gary------- lead vocalist and front man for the Meats, has been singing since the age of five, as music runs in his family. His father was the president of the Chicago Musicians’ Union for many years. Wayne was chosen for the band, because of his strong vocal ability and range, the ability to put intense feeling into the songs and the wild stage antics he picked up while in Florida working as a rodeo stooge. -------Tyler Scott------- drummer for the Meats, has been playing drums since the age of two. Ty joined the Meats after blowing away the former drummer during a sound check. The band originally met Ty, on the way to a gig, where they saw him scraping road pizza off the side of the road, to fulfill a Public Service Commitment. -------Dan Gable------- bassist for the Meats, has played the bass along with the guitar and piano for over ten years. Dan was chosen out of fifty bass players who auditioned for the Meats, not only because of his dynamic bass playing and strong back up vocals, but also because of his former experience in the livestock industry as a shovel man for the circus. ---------The Meats--------- are a serious, hard-working, hard rock act, concentrating equally on both image and music. All members of the band have solid backgrounds in both live performance and studio work. The band is currently seeking record offers to record their first full length cd…..”In The Grind”
