Born in North Dakota and coming of age when waistbands were high and hair was higher, Jake wandered to Alaska to Texas to Oregon and, finally, to Seattle, picking up influences along the way. With "Only Too Well," recorded in October and November of 2008, he worked with the Sympathetic Strangers to create a record whose vision reached beyond that of the solo singer/songwriter.
