A New Age solo pianist from Ukiah, CA. offers a thought and emotion provoking debut album entitled “The Day Before Tomorrow.” From his current residence in Santa Clarita, CA., he creates his melodies part time along with an Aerospace Engineering career. Along with creating music, James enjoys surfing, disc golf, and traveling in his spare time.
Though a classically trained pianist with over 20 years experience, James found his creative voice in New Age music. Much of his musical inspiration comes from his early mentors and New Age artists Tom Ganoung and Spencer Brewer as well as being influenced by the great classical artists Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
Created over several years as James went through the triumphs and tribulations of early adulthood, “The Day Before Tomorrow” is an emotional collection of soul-seeking melodies. Inspired by a quickly evolving lifestyle, the debut album tells the story of love, confusion, and hope.
Many compare his music to New Age solo pianists Jim Brickman, George Winston, and Wayne Gratz. Others find a striking resemblance to melodies found in many Indie and Mainstream Rock artists including Goo Goo Dolls, Something Corporate, Death Cab For Cutie, Dashboard Confessional, and Third Eye Blind.
James leads a simple life and lives by the motto:
“Live each day as if it were your last. Cherish each moment as if it were for the first time.”
