JANDEK has held an oh-so-*SPECIAL* place in my heart, ever since he first ripped through my eardrums way back in the mid-1980s

I just saw you on Saturday in San Francisco, Sir, and you fried and scattered my neurons. I may never recover. Fantastic!

one of the things I respect about Jandek is the overall concept of his work. It's so cohesive. Simple, mysterious. I love the mystery. Like most people, Nancy sings is my favorite tune, but I'm glad it's mostly Jandek & Nancy singing is a one-off.

it's a stretch at first, sure, but so is gamelan music and so are olives. you gotta let yourself fall back into it, yo!

I've only heard one thing by Jandek, ever, and it was truly terrible. Dishordant and lacking rhythm...it sounds like music I might make if I picked up an instrument, because I cannot play one. Neither can Jandek. You've got to respect that.
