Number TWO: Danke for your CD... and last but not least Number THREE: I have been listening to your CD non-stop for the past 3 days. It is uplifting my spirits and is just such sunny delight (unlike the cheap powdered juice drink crap). All in all - Ich liebe dich und deine musik! and cannot wait to see and hear more of you!! Tour Diary + diese Woche in D-land

    Hi!

After 10 days of travel and shows in the UK I just arrived in Berlin, Germany this morning. Feeling a bit tired but happy about how the shows have been going. The tour started out with two gigs in London, one in Walthamstow and one in Hammersmith's The Regal Room. I then travelled to the Midlands and played shows at a variety of venues in Leicester, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Coventry and Cambridge as well as a couple of spots on BBC radio. No, I haven't lost my American accent... and when I try to sound British it gets ridiculous pretty quickly. ;-)

To everyone that came out to these shows and helped make them happen, Anne, Barry, Norma, Marsha, John.... thank you! It's been so nice to meet so many new folks that made me feel right at home. What a treat to play for you all. I hope to be back for another UK tour in 2009.

Central Park, UK + Germany Tour Dates, Annie Haslam

    Greetings!

Thanks for coming out to our most recent Rockwood show in NYC! That might have been one of the best shows we've had there and you guys turning out was a very big part of that so once again, thanks! We really appreciate it. Did any of you stick around for Norah Jones' other band afterward? I had no idea she played electric... :-)

Coming up this June we'll be playing a few gigs in the NYC area, starting with Tavern on the Green on June 21st at 2 pm - that's part of Make Music New York, where hundreds of musicians put on free shows all across New York City. The very next day we'll be up in The Bronx, my home borough for Bronx Weekand a short performance on their outdoor stage. On June 28th we'll be back at the New York Book Festival which is held right near the Naumburg Band Shell in Central Park. Hope to see you at one or all of these!

REVERIE is continuing to receive FM and internet radio airplay as well as press, most recently WKSU (Kent State University, Ohio) and folkalley.com added "Give in to This Life". Offthebeat-n-track.com (which is also syndicated on a few terrestrial FM stations in WI, KY, CT and NY) has added "Doing Time" and the record was recently reviewed by media in Israel & Brazil.

    UK + Germany Tour Dates:

This July I will be touring the UK for the first time then touring in Germany where I will be playing in some new cities as well! UK dates include 2 shows in London as well as numerous dates in the West Midlands. I'd really appreciate it if you could spread the word to your friends and colleagues in the UK since it's my first venture over there and could certainly use the support! Friends and family in Germany, I will be coming back to Hamburg and Berlin as well as shows in Oldenburg, Cottbus and hopefully Cologne. Accompanying me on some of these will be Mario Waschinski on bass (who played in my first band there in high school!) as well as the band Stylblyten from Berlin.

Concert at Sellersville Theater with Annie Haslam

Please mark your calendars for a very special event this fall at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, PA. The band and I will be doing a show there with special guest Annie Haslam, lead singer of the band Renaissance. Tickets are on sale now for this event that will take place on Saturday, September 20th at 8 PM. You can find out more about the talented Annie Haslam at her web site, and purchase tickets at theSellersville Theater web site!

Until I leave town I will be checking out events in NYC that my friends are involved in and am letting you know about some of them so you can see if you might be interested. As many of you know I love dance and performance art so I'm going to be checking out my bud Yoel Cassell (who has been nominated for a Tony!!) in a show put on by our friend Pavel Zuštiak called "Blind Spot". The show runs June 11-15 at Performance Space 22. More info at palissimo.com.

    Cheers!

Reverie Tour continues Upstate NY and NYC

We're back in New York after two weeks of tour dates in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. Had some really nice shows and made lots of new friends. Thanks to everyone that helped make this leg of the tour such a success. We have a little time off before Lars and I hit Upstate NY this coming week, then doing a NYC show on Friday, May 16th, 8 pm at Rockwood Music Hall with the band!

I haven't had time to post pictures of the tour yet but will hopefully get to it after we finish up with this next leg of the tour. In the meantime you can check out these pics that were posted by cleverock.com who came to our show at The Winchester (which is btw my new favourite venue in Cleveland!). Also, the Philadelphia Daily News wrote about Reverie: "Ear-grabbing pop singer-songwriter has a confident yet gentle voice, with tints of soul, gospel and Afropop rhythms." Thanks to everyone that came out to our Tin Angel show!

While it's been a really hectic schedule, the response we're getting from the audiences and local radio makes it all feel so worth it. When we came through Northeast Ohio we did a taping for a show on Akron's WAPS, 91.3 The Summit with Tom Ball, aka Twistin' Tom, during which we played a lot of songs from the new album. I also ended up doing an impromptu cover of "Carpet of the Sun" by Renaissance and got to DJ some of my current favourites bands. The show will air later this month - I will let you know when we get an air date.

This coming week we are going to be playing on WAER Radio in Syracuse, NY Thursday, May 8th. We're doing a pre-taping that morning that I believe will air on the station sometime between noon and 3 pm. They're on 88.3 FM and the web site is WAER.org if you want to tune in online. We're also going to do an in-store performance and CD signing at Big Apple Music which is a music and audio/video store located in New Hartford, NY. Friday night we'll be at one of our favourite spots upstate called The College Street Cafe. That's a 9 pm show and I will have Lars Potteiger with me on all these. You can check out Lars' solo work at myspace.com/larspotteiger.

A bunch more stuff is coming up this Spring and Summer including performances at the New York Book Festival in Central Park, Bronx Week, MusikFest, Fairfax Corner Summer Concert Series and a few others that we're still working on. In July I'm heading to the UK to do my first solo tour over there. I'll be performing in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry and a few other locations, including a spot at the Kenilworth Festival on Saturday, July 19th. After that date I'm heading to Germany where I will meet up with Chris. We're planning on him joining me on bass for a few shows that we're currently working on setting up. We do have a date in Berlin, that's on Wednesday July 23rd with a local band called Stylblyten.

Looking forward to keeping the music coming and hope to see many of you this week and on May 16th in NYC!
