  no question its the red, starz in at a close second, then the heist, the shining is a great album but I don't think you can argue that anything's better than madlib rappin over a dilla beat, the red is the soundtrack to my life

  J Dilla is the definition of raw talent and great hip hop. Its hard to pick a favorite song cuz quite simply anything he makes is a gift to the ears. But if i had to pick, id have to say The Red once i heard that song i was an instant fan of dilla and i never looked back.

  Every beat Dilla produced on the album destroys in a system, absolute raw sound every one of them. But my two favorite on the album are when Dilla grabs the mic over Madlib's beats on "The Official" & "Survival Test". Survival Test is probably my favorite.
