Jaz Klash was born in 1995 when the team of Bristol’s More Rockers (Rob Smith & Peter D) joined with LA based producer The Angel to create the album “Thru The Haze.” Masterful instrumentation provided by time-tested musicians like Jacky Terrasson and Brian Auger, the work of these two jazz greats combined by producers; The Angel providing the jazzy melodies, live musicians, and half-time hip-hop beats; More Rockers translating the melodies’ vibes into intricate and masterful double-time rhythm patterns, bringing in the all powerful subs. All three, together mixing, editing and forging that West meets West fusion into a whole new sonic experience. The trio toured with a culminating spot at the 1998 Montréal Jazz Festival.

More Rockers: Rob Smith, one half of the seminal Bristol crew Smith & Mighty, whose influence can be heard today in the music of such luminaries as Massive Attack, the Roni Size Reprazent crew. Rob partnered with Peter D to form More Rockers. The Angel: Via Brooklyn and London, now based in Los Angeles, has, as a female producer, broken all industry rules; producing and recording her own artist releases and producing and remixing many other artists. Her film work as a composer has included her first full score, “Boiler Room” (2000). Releases: “Tuned In Turned On” 60 Channels (1998), “Boiler Room” The Angel (2000), “No Gravity” The Angel (2001), “Covert Movements” 60 Channels (2004), "Supa Crucial Drum 'N Bass Remixes Vol. 1 (2005)," "The Heart of the Game (score)(2006) and "KiDULTHOOD (score)(2006)." The Angel has a new album due for release in late 2008.
