A reflection of experiences; 'The Magical Mirror' is a collection of observations of family, friends, lovers and nemeses. A mix of sexy Latin numbers with some bebop, vocalese and ballads - the tracks travel through different grooves, eras and influences - they are nostalgic yet fresh.
Jeanie is a jazz based vocalist, lyricist and composer. She gigs regularly on the London jazz circuit to sustained acclaim with her quartet and in other ensembles, including Jazz and Cocktails. She has sung backing vocals for Luddy Samms (The Drifters) fronted Al Wynette's band at the 606 Club and works with some of the best musicians on the British Jazz scene today; she is also compere for The Laurie Morgan Trio.
