  Fortunately Jennifer Rush is still alive and we will be able to hear new material very soon. Laura Branigan unfortunately had a stroke and died in bed. Other great singers, Soraya (the colombian singer) indeed died of breast cancer after a long struggle...

  Wasn't it Laura Brannigan who died recently of cancer? Jennifer Rush is recording a new album even as we speak. She was huge in places like Germany and it's a total mystery how she never made it big here, with people labelling her a one hit wonder. They should check out her nine albums!

  She is still pretty much alive and kicking! In some countries she did manage to be a big star and sold a lot of albums....

  SHE was one of the top FEMALE SINGERS during the late 80's. Too bad we lost her to cancer (I think it was Breast Cancer) a couple years back.

  Why she remains unknown is a mystery. She puts a LOT of emotion into her singing. And combined with her wonderful voice...One word...wow!
