Vocalist and New Age songwriter Jillian Goldin unites vibrant, soulful melodies with the sounds of cultures across the world. Inspired by such artists as Enya and Loreena McKennitt, she strives to evoke an emotional response through her music while exploring new methods of lyrical communication.
Coming from an extensive background in operatic performance, Jillian is well equipped for the stage while maintaining a keen interest in original composition. Her voice can be heard on the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed video game Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword in both solo and ensemble context, and she has engaged in a number of contemporary musical activities from film & TV recordings to her own arrangements of popular video game themes.
Jillian's debut solo album, Origins, is set for release in Spring of 2008. Assistant produced by electronica artist and frequent collaborator Andrew Aversa (a.k.a. "zircon"), the CD features soaring vocal tracks mixed with a dash of ethnic/electronic flavor. Several songs can be heard on Mystic Soundscapes internet radio— one of which, “Hajime,” garnered her the Best Tracks of 2007 award.

I am pleased to announce the addition of a new feature to the JillianGoldin.com website: a discussion board! This forum will serve as a more interactive way to stay in touch, and I'm very excited about it. Believe it or not, I probably want to know just as much (if not more) about you as you do me. Questions, requests, fun topics of discussion... all are welcome, so please come introduce yourself! :D
