    Had the honor of seeing Jimmy Scott live in LA several times. He first showed up in a public access studio and we had no idea what was going to happen. Then he sang live during the show and the spell was cast. I was an instant fan. I have since seen him perform in jazz clubs around LA. His magical voice brings the audience over to another world that Jimmy creates with his band.     Jimmy Scott is a singular artist. What a pity he hates flying, and has come to england only a couple of times in his life. There is nothing else quite like Jimmy Scott.
