Jinder, a well-versed singer of songs, story teller and modern folk troubadour, is set to release his new album next month. His fans include the likes of Ryan Adams, Brian Wilson and Tim Rice-Oxley of Keane, in addition to thousands more, spread throughout Europe and America. After nine years of constant touring in the UK, USA and Europe Jinder has played over 1000 live shows and sold over 12,000 albums. He spent last year fronting the Mercury Men, a Sony BMG signed acoustic trio, playing venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Liverpool Echo Arena. After the taste of the corporate major label life, Jinder has now returned to the essence of what he does best, pure storytelling and touring, backed by his own label, Din of Ecstasy. His new album, 9 Cents from Benelux, is inspired by folk greats, including Townes Van Zandt, Jimmie Rodgers and John Martyn. This autobiographical album brings together all that Jinder has experienced over the past decade, and contains a collection of his finest songs. Key tracks include the nostalgic Train In Your Voice, Townes' Blues, a heartfelt tribute to kindred spirit Townes Van Zandt, and a timely reinterpretation of Don McLean's Vincent. 9 Cents from Benelux is released by Din Of Ecstasy on 29th July 2009
