  i still love johnny horton,his music and songs. i was crushed when i heard that he died in a car crash. he was the best looking man i have ever seen. i still listen to his songs and do melt when isee his pictures or hear his voice.

  i fell in love with johnny horton when i was 13 years old. i also fell in love with his music and songs. he was not a racist or part of the kkk. he was a true christian and he liked everyone.

  Reminds me of Dad, he was in WWII USS Salt Lake City 4 year navy veteran. ( I love you Dad). Johnny Horton has the greatest music and voice. I miss hearing this music, my dad used to drive his pickup flying down the road in his 80's, listening to this music full blast on his way to the ranch and back. LOL.

  Just a heads up. Johnny wasn't racist. Somewhere along the way people started crediting the songs of "Johnny Rebel" to Johnny Horton(Probably because of the song "Johnny Reb". So please, know your shit before you post ignorant garbage. He was a great musician and should not be known as a racist.
