  born to lose is fucking great, its actually pretty sad... but JT is second to none, and there will never be anyone who will be able to duplicate his look, sound or attitude. RIP Johnny

  About Thunders beeing punk, I don't think you can put a lable on him. Some songs, like "London Boys" från the 77-album so alone would be described as punk, but then if you listen to the Copycats album with Patti or others it's more rock'n roll. The thing is, he did everything. He wasn't punk, he was rock'n roll and it's too bad it killed him. But then again, without the drugs he wouldn't have been Thunders and it was his choise of life and we all love him for the music he did. Just don't t... More...   JT and the Dolls were definitely not "punk" - they were Proto-Punk. JT, the little guy (he was soooo tiny!) with the BIG guitar sound!

  ALL those late nights at Irving Plaza, waiting and waiting and WAITING for Johnny to take the stage....what a mess he was, but man, he had a killer guitar sound. And not only that, but the song *writing* is fantastic. Did everyone see the doc that came out about 6 yrs ago, Born To Lose?
