Joint Venture is the product of two MCs, Mr. Frip and Munie Taker, each with complimentary rhyme styles. Munie Taker, the entrepreneurial perfectionist architect of production, represents business and Mr. Frip, the fun-loving Irish spoken-word minstrel, represents pleasure. These DC natives and roomates at James Madison University were pioneers in the school's Breakdancing Club and have been performing together since 1998. After albums released in 2000 (Washington, DC) and 2003 (Tempe, AZ), the group retired due to "geographical incompatibilities". Currently, Mr. Frip moonlights as a poet in Phoenix, AZ. Munie Taker has migrated to SW Florida for new projects in production and MCing.
