JON HAINSTOCK plays a brand of piano-pounding acoustic and electric pop rock. Hainstock is a storyteller. The stories fuel the melodies he conjures, and the trip is worth taking.
A native of Burlington, Wisconsin, Hainstock is rooted in the traditional power pop rock that sometimes suffers from careless songwriting. Jon Hainstock’s melodies are easy on the ears and welcome the listener to take in the lyrics. “My aim as a musician is to write songs about things people can relate to and sing along with. My hope is that my music will become a release for the listener,” says Hainstock. Much like John Mayer and Jon McLaughlin, Jon Hainstock digs deep for compelling songwriting enhanced by strong production and arrangements. His EP “Tell The Truth” was released in 2007 and was a labor of love. “Tell The Truth has humble roots. The entire project was recorded with a limited budget in a basement where we had to fight off spiders and wait for the water pump to turn off before we could proceed.”
Currently, Hainstock is preparing to release his latest full length effort “A Pale Blue Dot” which will debut in April.
