Jordan Winter’s music is melody driven rock. It features huge, singable choruses and thumping verses. Her distinctive soprano voice dances gracefully above crunchy guitars, affected pianos, and ambient strings. She writes and sings from the heart about her personal experiences with universal themes like love, doubt and desire.
Jordan is 24 years old and hails from New Jersey. She grew up to the sounds of her parents’ records, including: The Beatles, Led Zepplin and Bob Marley, among many others. She learned all their songs early on and started singing her own creations shortly after.
Jordan believes all great songs begin with a solid foundation. She and co-writer Billy Evans start each tune with just an acoustic guitar and a melody. If the music is good enough the tune should hold up with just her voice and six strings. This organic songwriting approach allows Jordan’s music to be equally infectious whether performed with a full band or in a more intimate acoustic setting.
Producer/Engineer Jamie Siegel of jrock studios (Lauryn Hill, Joss Stone, Taking Back Sunday) began working with Jordan in late August 2005. His wide range of experience and cutting-edge production style was a perfect match for Jordan’s pop/rock sensibilities. Siegel enlisted the help of keyboardist John Deley (Dido) and the jam sessions took off.
Jordan’s a natural star - striking good looks, a beautiful voice and great songs. Her music tells the story of life experiences that so many people can relate to: faking emotions to keep others happy, making mistakes concerning who one loves, and desire for something new constrained by apprehension of the unknown. She sees each song as an opportunity to tell her story piece by piece, and share her experiences, scene by scene.
Wow I love ur music n lyrics Girly! Best Of Luck! Keep it up!
