Ryan Pugal gained national and international exposure in April 2007 as one of thousands of hopeful contestants competing to be the next Phenom on season one talent competition Famecast. The viewing audience at home voted each week on who would move on to the next round of competition. After three months of stiff and gruiling competition Pugal was voted as one of the top five finalists who would compete and tape a live show in Austin, TX. Pugal no doubt was a favorite and at the Finals he was awarded the overall “Best Artist Promotion Award” and placed in Fourth, with a huge fanbase now growing worldwide, Pugal returned to his hometown of Honolulu, HI and immidiately began recording his first indie debut album titled, “This Is Me the Demo Project” which released in June 2007 and made Pugal a instant indie success with over 10,000 plus digital download sales worldwide. He toured throughout parts of the US Mainland performing to promote the debut. Pugal's first release "Miss you so much, don't know why" debut at No.3 on the indie charts followed by "Tell Me" which debut at No.6. Billboard Magazine, Spin Magazine, Buzzbin Magazine, MTV News and VH1 are just a few that Pugal has been featured in. In 2008 Indie360/3000Records offered Pugal a spot on the Radio Now! Volume8 Compilation Cd which was promoted in Japan, Australia, Europe, Canada and parts of the US. Shortly after Pugal signed artist development deals with Tate Music Group, Explore Talent and Hollywood North Entertainment (All based in the Mainland) and a joint Management Partnership with Movement Entertainment and Pugal's Production Company New Artist Music Productions.
