Biography Ka-Chi's motto and calling is Soul Liberty, a term which he defines as 1) Seeking Freedom 2) Pursuing Happiness through Love 3) Living in truth.
“Soul Liberty” Serves as the basis of his songwriting. Ka-Chi first became recognized in the music scene on the East Coast in 2005 while based in the DC metro area of Maryland. He performed extensively up and down the east coast, and following the release of his first recording, a 5 song EP titled "Soul Liberty-demos sessions" (featuring the critically acclaimed single, (Give my) Soul Liberty) Ka-Chi embarked on a 10 city US tour, armed with only a guitar and microphone.
Now in the east bay area of San Francisco, Ka-Chi seeks to spread his message to his new neighbors. His sound is an eclectic mix with a signature soulful world-folk/reggae flavor. Lyrical dexterity is the underlying strength. He has the ability to tell stories and deliver messages with such soul, while keeping the audience entertained with beautiful rhythms.
