Kari, listed as one of the top 50 artists on VH1.com, has written and performed songs for movies such as "Wall*E", “White Chicks”, “Ella Enchanted”, “Shall We Dance” “Dreamgirls” and “The Cutting Edge II”. Kari sang the theme song and performed her first music video “It’s Not Just Make Believe” for the movie Ella Enchanted which can been seen on Radio Disney as well as the Ella Enchanted DVD. Kari was also asked to host the red carpet premier for the film, which aired on ABC Family and the Disney Channel. In addition to movies, Kari’s songs have been featured in numerous television shows such as “8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter”, “The Gilmore Girls”, “The Young and the Restless”, “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “Victoria Beckham: Coming to America”, MTV’s “Camp Jim” “Laguna Beach”, “The Hills”, "The 'L' Word", Kim Possible", Lifetime Original movies’ “Girl, Positive” and “Custody”, the theme song for the reality show “Decision House” and most recently, Kari's music video "LOW" is being used in promotion of "Private Practice". She has played at various clubs and venues around the U.S., including a benefit hosted by Prince Edward of Wales, The Adam Corolla and Danny Bonaduce show, Teen People Magazine, and an open-air concert every Fourth of July in Orlando for an audience of 30,000. She has been featured in Demo Diaries, Hits Magazine and Music Connection as “a dream artist presenting the perfect package with unlimited potential for success”. Recently, Kari has started writing her own column about her experiences as a young independent singer/ songwriter in the music industry for the online magazine "Iprong", which has about 3 millions readers per month.
Kari’s latest endeavor, “A Life in the Day” is her first solo record. It has been described as “a scrapbook diary of journeys that showcase a mature, searching and passionate soul living on the edge of great expectations in everything from love, life, and pursuit of something more.” Amazing songs paired with an undeniable brilliant voice makes this record a breakthrough debut. While writing her own solo album, Kari has also written for other artists, delivering a major hit single for American Idol Kimberley Locke with “I Could” as well as The Backstreet Boy’s comeback single,“Incomplete”.
