I've just always have loved Hip-Hop. I fell in love way, way back when I lived in Cali and I first heard “The Message” by Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five. I was young, but I would do the Robot and lip all the words. Then came Run DMC and the “Paid In Full” album by Rakim. It was over! I wanted to be an Emcee. I progressed on to L.L., P.E., Kane, BDP, Def Jeff, 3X Dope, Jungle Brothers, De La, and the whole Native Tongue thing… You know, back when Hip-Hop was fun and uncorrupted. I moved to Atlanta, Ga. back in 1990 and was determined to make it in the music business. I spent my summers up in Pomona, NJ where I met up with a young Rodney Jerkins. R.J. wasn’t the super producer he is today and we had to sneak into his older brother’s studio to make my first demo. To make a long story short, R.J. and I lost touch, I fell out of love with Hip-Hop as it started to change into what it is today, and I joined the military. That’s where I am today, in the US Air Force fightin' wars and makin' music to stay sane and one day maybe get me out! Anyway, I’m just trying to bring back some of that creativity we seem to have lost since the “Great Hip-Hop Paper Chase” began in the mid-90’s. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!
