Keane are one of the UK’s most successful bands, with a worldwide fanbase. Their debut album Hopes And Fears was released in May 2004, going straight to Number 1 in the UK album charts. Spurred on by hits like Somwhere Only We Know, This Is The Last Time and Everybody's Changing it went on to sell 5.5m copies worldwide, garnering the band two Brit Awards and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
The band's second album Under The Iron Sea was released in June 2006 and also went straight to Number 1 in the UK album charts, debuting at Number 4 in the US Billboard charts. It has so far sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The trio were nominated for a second Grammy this year for their hit single Is It Any Wonder?.
Tim Rice-Oxley, Keane’s main songwriter, was awarded an Ivor Novello for songwriting in 2005. As well as writing for Keane, he wrote the critically-acclaimed single Early Winter for Gwen Stefani.
In 2007, Keane toured the world, playing sold out shows across Europe, the USA and Latin America - including headline gigs to 50,000 Keane fans in Buenos Aires, 15,000 in Amsterdam and 18,000 at London's O2 Arena.
As patrons of War Child the band were proud to curate a night at Brixton Academy on 1st November 2007, where they were joined by their friends Lilly Allen, Pet Shop Boys, The Magic Numbers, The Guillemots and Brendan Benson. to launch and raise money for The Iraq Appeal. The event was broadcast live on radio stations across the UK and Europe.
Keane released their highly anticipated third album Perfect Symmetry. The album contains hit tracks "Spiralling" and "The Lovers Are Loosing"

I'm not sure if you've been given misinformation about Florida, and that's why you refuse to come here. . . but it's really quite nice. We get one or two other bands every few years. . . they seem to like it okay. U2 were here, they thought it nice. Think about it. Please?
