They had the most uplifting sound and produced the most bittersweet songs of the time. A fantastic live band - going to their gigs purged the soul. Last saw them at the YMCA in Chelmsford - how many years ago? Drive That Fast, Sand On Fire, Shiver, In A Cave, Her Last Day In Bed... all go through my heart like a spear. Love is Hell is such an amazing album. Sorely missed.

    Please come to Fanwood, NJ!
  • I miss them too...they kinda just dropped off the scene...Such gay lyrics with alternative sound I finally felt like I wasn't alone! ...Once hung out with the guitar player at Maxwells in Hoboken after a show he was so cool and nice explained lyrics to me as we got drunk! good times
  • God, I miss this band so much.
  • I met these guys after they had been to a one little indian party in North London many moons ago! Enjoyed a very strange evening with the lads involving Heaven nightclub,a very dodgy hole in the wall gay bar and running through Trafalgar Square singing 'Summer Holiday' with Julian!!!! Aah Happy Days!!!!
  • As young fans,my mate and I played 'pass the pig' with these guys in the After Dark Club in Reading - happy memories, great band
