L2 (formerly Labbadia Sisters) are two sisters (Melissa, 20 and Jessica, 17) who have been singing, acting, and performing since they were very young. They are accomplished singers/songwriters who recorded their first Demo CD in early 2005 with Producer Doug Maxwell at Media Right Productions in New York City, on which they co-wrote their first original song entitled “You’re The Only One”. They perform regularly at a variety of venues, including Manhattan Rock clubs "The Bitter End", "The Cutting Room", and “Coda”, and Cabaret style at “Don’t Tell Mama” in NYC. They have also recently opened several concerts for recording artist "Ryan Cabrera" and "Anberlin" in the CT area. Their strong connection as sisters shines through in their music. In March 2008, as the Labbadia Sisters, the girls released an EP-CD titled "Who I Am", on which they worked with recording artist/producer Chris August (Papa Joe Records) and his Production partner Jacob Schrodt. The EP features 5 original Pop/Rock songs that display their unique vocal blend and harmonies, great lyrics with life lessons, and have the hooks that stay in your head for days. "Who I Am", which features the hit song "Get Over You", is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, Napster, Rhapsody, and eMusic. The EP, which features the hit songs "Get Over You" and "I'm Not Like You", can be purchased on their mySpace via PayPal, and is also available on iTunes, Amazon.com, Napster, Rhapsody, and eMusic. They are listed on iTunes under "Labbadia Sisters", their original name. Melissa and Jessica are continually writing and recording more original songs. The girls made trips down to Jacksonville, FL to write and record with songwriter/producer Bobby Amaru! They co-wrote and recorded 14 new original songs and even recorded their favorite cover song as well: Pat Benatar's "Heartbreaker".....! They went to LA in August 2008 where they co-wrote and recorded 3 new songs with famed Producer “Eddie G.” (Eddie Galan) (High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Backstreet Boys, O’Town). "It's My Life" is one of the songs featured. They study Voice with Katie Luekens and Liz Caplan of Liz Caplan Vocal Studios in NYC, along with Cheryl Kemeny in CT; and also study Acting with Denise Simon in NY. Jessica also plays the Piano and studies with Martha Lind. L2 continues to perform locally and write/record more original songs. Jess plays and writes music on Piano, and Melissa adds her vocal talents along with Jess, as they come up with their unique vocal blend represented in their melodies, harmonies and lyrics. They have been inspired musically by such present day artists like Michelle Branch, The Veronicas, and Kelly Clarkson, to 80’s artists like Heart, Joan Jett, and Pat Benatar. They have played with some of the best musicians in the industry including: Chris August, Anthony Citrinite (Ant Cee), Chris Altenhoff, Rob Alfonso, Danny Kean, Frank Pagano, Larry Saltzman, George Naha, Ed Alstrom, Paul Nelson, and Seth Glassman. The girls have also teamed up in the past to co-write some of their earlier Pop/Rock original songs called “For You”, “I Can’t Think About”, and “Anymore” with Songwriter/Producer Kmelz (Carey Mellers) and Tone Jam Music. Melissa and Jessica also worked in prior years with producer Johnny Montagnese at Carriage House Studios in Stamford, CT. L2 is positioning themselves to become the newest Sister duo pop sensation!
