Tara, Taylor, and Christian had been singing and dancing for years when they were discovered by Shadow Mountain Records in 2007. One whirlwind of a year later and LOL is excited to release their very first album, Live Out Loud! “This is seriously a dream come true,” Taylor says. “To be able to do what we love most and to hopefully share it with kids everywhere is probably the coolest thing that’s ever happened to us.” The album, which was created by music industry professionals who have worked on albums by Hannah Montana, Whitney Houston, and Donny Osmond, features 11 upbeat songs that encourage kids to make good choices and reach for the stars. And while “living out loud” means something different to each member of LOL, all of them can agree that it’s the only way to live! “I think living out loud has a lot of different meanings to different people,” Christian says. “But to me it means to just be happy. Life is going to throw a lot of things at you but you can always be happy with what you get.” And in a world that seems to grow more cynical everyday, happiness, positivity, and enthusiasm are the qualities LOL hopes to encourage and share through their music. “I think positive music is really important,” Tara says. “One of my favorite LOL songs is ‘One Way Ticket’ because the first line says ‘You have dreams, and you have visions.’ To me this means that you have a ticket to be anything you want to be. And if I could tell everybody out there just one thing it would be that you are awesome and that you can do whatever you want to do! I really hope that LOL’s music inspires you to go out there, follow your dreams, and live out loud.”
