It?s LAIDies Night! Founded only 18 month ago, the alternative rock band LAID has reached an amazingly high level with their music. The explosive mixture of rough sound and sing along tunes helped to gather a big number of supporters in a short time. And even Media noticed very early the sudden rise of the band from Berlin. Their first EP, released in February 06, received superb reviews: ?American mainstream rock on the highest level presented by an extremely impassionate band? (flamingyouth.de) ?Carried by the heavy sound wall of his band, singer Dan screams until the tubes are glowing. That definitively reminds the listener of good old Kurt Cobain.? (uncle sally*s) During various gigs in Germany and Poland all over the year LAID achieved the reputation of being an excellent live band. In September 06 they played at Sonnencopp Festival near Dessau together with other German rock heroes like GODS OF BLITZ, TRASHMONKEYS and EL*KE. Due to their international sound and their successful presentation on myspace.com ?the LAIDies? have fans all over the world. And so it?s not curious at all that their first broadcast was in the US on internet station INSOMNIA RADIO. Since 2007 they are featured by STAR FM ? ROCK RADIO in Germany. Their song ?Blue Sky (In her Eyes)? is on the current newcomer compilation ?STARS IN THE CITY?. In the internet music charts of BESONIC.de and MUSICLEAGUE.de LAID were on the pole position for several weeks with their song ?Six Feet Under?. In January 07 a huge audience watched the band?s performance in the TV show ?The Perfect Party? on Pro7. Finally this May their debut album ?LAID NIGHT SHOW? will be released. After that the band is planning to tour Europe together with the English newcomers FOUR DAY HOMBRE to promote the record and spread the spirit of LAID all over the continent.
