in 1973 a small group of people gathered to see something strange in the street of a small town it downtown renton, washington. Little did they know the impact of that single event. 20 years later a man named Newton Grangefield began thinking to himself that his time had come to change the course of history. He went to the store and purchased two bottles of tamato juice. He then got in his car and drove 2 days from california to that spot in renton he stood watching that strange event so long ago. On his trip he stopped to eat in Buelton California at a small place called anderson's. He got the pea soup. He met a traveler by the name of rusky. Rusky was 14 and started backpacking accross the America at the age of 12. He was also an expert poker player and spoke 5 languages, including russian. thus his nickname. They decided to travel together, since rusky was going his way. Later the next day they found themselves in the parking lot of an Indian Casino directly by the 1 freeway. Rusky had $20, a rubberband and two paper clips in his right pocket. They both sat at a table but only rusky played. Three large older gentlemen sat at the same table, one bearded biker with an eagle tatoo and a patch on his leather jacket that read "Elmer T." Beside Elmer sat a balding man with glasses and a nasty grimace. This mans was known in the area to be George. George was somewhat aquainted with a cowboy that sat next to him. This cowboy appeared to be in his sixties and he also appeared to be quite drunk. Rusky decided to use his portugeuse accent and occasionally mumbled a few curses in the old language when making bets, this helped when bluffing and helped when bluffing a bluff. George was careless with his money when deppressed. This day was not good for him since earlier that morning he had run over his dog with his 1964 Ford Truck. The strange part was that his dog was 4 hours away in a kennel at his farm house when he had left him. He hit the dog when only 20 minutes from his work on a side dirt road ten minutes from this casino. George folded his last hand with only $14, $632 less than what he started with. Elmer T. was out next, having left with not as much of a loss and some 3 hours later the cowboy was taken for all he had, including the Jack on the rocks in front of him which he had included in the last bet. Rusky made $2050, a jack and coke and 3 scratch tickets when all was done. It was late in the night when they pulled into Renton, Rusky was driving. The old street was still much the same, but many of the stores had closed and changed. Newton got out of the car that was parked in the middle of the street and still running. No traffic was there and the street lights could be heard buzzing. He walked slowly then stopped, rubbed his chin looking down. It was either 2 hours or ten minutes. I wouldn't know and neither would they. Its as if time had stopped and they both were taken back to that fateful day. Newton stepped back into the passenger seat and they drove away. Neither spoke for sometime. They just went and it wasn't known where they were headed to. Its very possible that these happenings have resulted in the formation of this band and since we started playing, we haven't yet stopped.
