Laura Nyro, fellow- Bronx-girl, the soundtrack of many of my crazy, running-around years in NY. I was privileged to see one of her concerts at the Filmore East - blew me away. She constructed some delicate webs of poetry and breathed fire into them.... a walking heartbreak. and Fabulous!
