Left Hand Does is an original rock/pop trio from Boston, Massachusetts. Now based in NYC and Brooklyn. Influences include U2, Radiohead, Split Enz, INXS, the Police and Led Zeppelin, video game soundtracks and James Dickey's poetry. Luke and Jean are a brother-and-sister writing team. Luke sings and plays guitar. He's a music production & engineering student at Berklee College of Music. He produces and mixes all of Left Hand Does' recordings. Jean plays bass and sings. She also does a lot of the graphics you see on the website and on the CDs. Adam plays drums and does a bit of singing as well. He is also a Berklee student. He's a music business major. Left Hand Does rehearses and performs primarily around Berklee and the Boston area, and frequently in Providence Rhode Island as well. Most of the recording, however, is done at Threy Cheirs, the humble studio in the basement of Luke and Jean's parents' home in southwestern Connecticut. The dampness in the walls does something to your head down there.
