In the modern landscape of rock ‘n roll, there seems to be an absence. Killer guitar riffs, heartbreaking melodies, and monstrous rhythms have given way to monotonous trends. Lifted is leading the good fight to bring back all that was great about rock ‘n roll. A band is only as good as its songs. The four members of Lifted take a collaborative approach when it comes to songwriting. Someone will bring an idea to the table and we all put our own personal touch to it. The idea grows and spreads; it’s magic,” says Tom Palen (lead vocals/rhythm guitar). Working closely with one another in the development and arrangement of their songs makes Lifted a tightly-knit unit. “Every time we write or play out, it gets easier and easier to challenge ourselves. We have this collective understanding of where everything should be. That’s what makes the process so much fun,” says Andrew Gregory (lead guitar / vocals/ keyboards). Lifted is set to show the world what they can do with their upcoming independent release entitled, “Converge”. The ten track collection has taken years of hard work and dedication to the music. “We’re ready to set up and take rock ‘n roll to the level it deserves to be at. We’re all really excited about the possibilities that the future holds for us,” says Mitch Scherker (drums). All hype aside, the strength of the songs, individually and collectively, is outstanding. The deep grooves of “One Man Show”, the soulful desperation of “Enemies”, and the power packed melodies of “Baha Uhla” leave the listener wanting more every time.“I’ve always been a fan of great songs with heart and drive. All our songs have that quality and then some,” says Imran Abbasi(bass guitar). While Lifted has been performing together for several years, they feel that this album is a new beginning. The journey to bring rock ‘n roll into a new era starts now and it starts with Lifted.
